We have run the businesses we advise.

Stratum Advisory is a Dubai-based consultancy with years of hands-on experience across professional services, payments, property, trading, and technology. We work closely with business owners to identify what's holding their business back, solve operational and strategic challenges, and leverage AI and technology to build smarter, more efficient, and scalable businesses.

Most advice has never had to survive contact with a bank.

Strategy documents are easy. Making one work is harder — because real businesses run into regulators, banks, hiring, vendors, cash flow and the gap between what a system promises and what it does. Stratum is built the other way round. The recommendations you get have been through that gap already, in businesses where the downside was ours. That is why our work ends in owners, sequencing and decisions rather than a deck.

Situation
A multi-market services group had grown faster than its operating model — unclear owners, fragmented reporting, and decisions stuck at the top.
What we did
Mapped decision rights, redesigned the management cadence, and set a sequenced plan for structure, systems and cost control.
Outcome
Leadership had one view of priorities, named owners for each workstream, and a 90-day path that management could actually run.

AI readiness scorecard and prototype evaluation dashboard before spend approval
Situation
The board wanted AI progress, but teams were piloting tools without a use case, data readiness check, or someone accountable for results.
What we did
Ran a focused readiness assessment, shortlisted three commercial use cases, and built a bounded prototype against the highest-value one.
Outcome
A clear AI roadmap, governance rules, and a working prototype with evaluation criteria before further spend was approved.
Situation
A critical systems programme had lost momentum across vendors, internal teams and steering — scope drift and no single delivery grip.
What we did
Reset programme governance, clarified roles and dependencies, and installed weekly visibility on risk, cost and decisions.
Outcome
Delivery regained pace, escalations shortened, and the steering group had a reliable view of what would finish when.

When clients call us

  • Growth has created complexity nobody designed.
  • Responsibilities and decision rights have blurred.
  • Reporting, processes and systems no longer talk to each other.
  • Management is deciding without the numbers it needs.
  • AI is being discussed without a use case, or a use case needs building.
  • A critical project has lost momentum and needs grip.
  • Operations across several markets or providers need coordinating.
